02 The Solution

Our community challenges are “Biblical” in proportion and require God size vision and commitment to bring Biblical solutions to community problems. To effect change to the individual hearts of men, women, youth, and the collective heart of our community, it will take a bold all-inclusive approach to the mission at hand. This requires an army of inner-city volunteers and donors working together, with laser like focus on our common cause of community healing and transformation. Indeed, this is a call to “the church” to put aside non-essential doctrinal and cultural differences and finally come together as “The Body of Christ,” serving Him by serving others. We reference John 17: 21-23 when Jesus prayed that His Church would be one, just as He and the Father are one, perfected in unity, so the world would know that He was sent by the Father. This is our John 17 moment. 

Dream Center of Columbus facilitates the networking of scores of church ministries and Christian outreaches that cater to literally all the communities’ deepest needs. Demonstrating the love of Christ in tangible and practical ways that restore pride, dignity, and hope to each neighborhood we touch. The Dream Center mission is “find a need and fill it, find a hurt and heal it.” Together, we feed the hungry, cloth the poor, mend fences, paint homes, clean yards, and neighborhoods, provide hope and direction for gang members, pornographers, and prostitutes that desire a means of escape from their lifestyles. Also, bring neighborhood church services, discipleship and mentoring programs, mentoring programs, certified vocational skill classes in the construction trades, culinary arts, music, dance, street choirs, and more to the heart of the community.
